Infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast

Presentation

Palpable breast lump present for 6 to 8 weeks.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

There is a well-defined, hypoechoic, non-compressible lesion at 10 0'clock in retro-areolar region.  The lesion shows angular margins, lobulations, and tiny calcific foci.

The lesion demonstrates a few flow signals and measures about 17 x 17 x 13 mm. Lesion abutts pectoralis muscle. It almost abutts skin.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound findings are very suggestive of malignancy - BIRADS V.

Biopsy revealed an infiltrating ductal carcinoma.
