Initial chest x-ray demonstrates a nail superimposed on the L1/L2 disc space. No free gas. Subsequent imaging shows the nail to have moved back into the body of the stomach.

Ingested foreign bodies can be challenging depending on their composition. When metallic they are easy to identify but not necessarily easy to localize without multiple views.
