Inguinal hernia

Case contributed by A.Prof Frank Gaillard

Long history of groin swelling.

Two single images from a CT of the abdomen demonstrate a very large right sided indirect inguinal hernia containing the ileocaecal junction and adjacent bowel. On the coronal image one can readily appreciated the mesenteric vessels stretched as they descend into the hernia.
