Right inguinal hernia contains part of the urinary bladder.
Case Discussion
Herniation of the bladder into the inguinal canal can be seen in 0.5–4% of inguinal hernias. Usually encountered in elderly men and may be associated with distal urinary tract obstruction. If only a small part of the bladder is herniating, the patient may be asymptomatic. In this case the herniating bladder was discovered incidentally during the exam.
