Case Discussion

Insulinomas represent 70% of islet cell tumors of pancreas and are the most common type of pancreatic neuro-endocrine tumour, with an annual incidence of 1-4 cases per million people. However, localization and diagnosis of insulinomas is a challenge to surgeons and radiologists. Most of them are intrapancreatic, benign and solitary, with an excellent prognosis. There is no predilection for any particular part of the pancreas.
