Well-defined oval lesion (15 x 8 mm) of fat density within intercostal muscles in right 3rd intercostal space just posterior to mid-axillary line — no internal septation / calcification, no surrounding fat densification or fluid collection.

Case Discussion

Lipoma within intercostal muscles is quite a rare occurrence, and may be associated with chest wall trauma.
