CT shows two old right rib fractures and also shows the lung hernia between the soft tissues of the chest wall.

Case Discussion

The lung hernia is a rare complication of severe chest trauma, whether open or closed.

CT is currently the method of choice for the diagnosis of this complication, as it provides comprehensive information on the location and size of the hernia, associated injuries and to plan the most appropriate treatment.
