Swelling at the medial angle of the right orbit

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Right internal angular extraconal fat containing lesion displays bright signal in T1 and T2WIs and shows low signal in fat suppression techniques. No enhancement in post contrast study.

Case Discussion

Orbital dermoid cyst is fat containing benign lesion that occurs at medial or lateral angle of the orbit. MRI: fat appears hyperintense in T1 and T2WIs and confirmation requires fat suppression techniques
