Axial non-contrast
Non-contrast CT scan shows diffuse subarachnoid hemorrhage in the left sylvan fissure and suprasellar cistern
Contrast CT scan shows a saccular aneurysm formation of the left ICA (C7).
Case Discussion
90% of aneurysms arise from the anterior circulation.
Cerebral digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is the gold standard study. The 3D reconstructions can visualize the exact location of the aneurysm neck, shape, and the possible incorporation of vessels into the aneurysm.
