An anterior abdominal wall hernia arises in the right lower quadrant extending superiorly in the plane between the external oblique fascia and internal oblique fascia. Within the hernia, there is a low-density collection.
Case Discussion
Interparietal hernias are uncommon and occur when the hernia sac lies between the layers of the anterior abdominal wall. They are commonly incisional hernias and most Spigelian hernias as of this type. This patient had a history of previous right inguinal hernia repair, and this is a potential cause.
