- in the right flank is noted a bowel-within-bowel configuration with mesenteric fat and mesenteric vessels pathognomonic for intussusception. In particular, the distal ileum and a thickened wall cecum are invaginated into the ascending colon.

Case Discussion
Contrast-enhanced CT scans demonstrate an ileocolic intussusception secondary to a caceum tumor acting as a lead point. The patient was treated with right hemicolectomy and the surgeons confirmed the diagnosis.
Most adult intestinal intussusceptions are secondary to malignant lesion 1.
