Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

Severe osteoarthritis/osteoarthrosis (post avascular necrosis) with multiple intra-articular loose bodies of various sizes.

Case Discussion

Severe osteoarthritis/osteoarthrosis can lead to the development of intra-articular loose bodies. This case is more than typical for normal degenerative osteoarthrosis and is due to the weakness and fragmentation of subchondral bone in avascular necrosis.
