Chest x-rays demonstrate a long nail projecting over the cardiac silhouette in both projections.
Case Discussion
This patient attempted to commit suicide with a nail-gun pointed at the chest. The nail penetrated the heart and can be seen on the lateral view blurred secondary to cardiac motion.
It was successfully removed at surgery.
