Homogenously hyperdense right globe on unenhanced CT with average density value of 88 HU.

It appears well-defined and with no detectable intraocular calcification on bone window.

The hypodense vitreous humor is noted as a rim in the posterior wall of the globe.

Case Discussion

This case was mainly diagnosed based on the past medical history of retinal detachment treatment.

Intra-ocular silicone oil is used to treat retinal detachment as a substance to fill the vitreous cavity and provide support for the vitreous body and detached retina.

Common misdiagnosis is vitreous hemorrhage.
