Intra-uterine growth restriction

Presentation

Transfer from rural hospital. G1P0 with gestational age of 29+1/40.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Female
Ultrasound

EFW lies <3% and an AC lies on the 5%. The UA-SDR/PI is elevated beyond the 95th percentile but there is forward end-diastolic flow. The MCA PI is normal. The AFI is normal. Fetal movement was observed. 

Case Discussion

This is a symmetrical IUGR given the HC/AC and FL/AC ratios are within the normal limits. The underlying cause is unknown.
