Intracerebral arteriovenous malformation

There are numerous, serpiginous vessels in the left occipital lobe complicated by a parenchymal hematoma of 3 cm and subsequent minor mass effect.
The feeding arteries are coming from the branches of middle meningeal artery and the prominent veins drain into the superior sagittal sinus.
The findings are congruent with a cerebral arteriovenous malformation and subsequent acute bleeding.
Case Discussion
Newly developed neurological symptoms with a known intracerebral arteriovenous malformation should always raise the suspicion of intracranial bleeding.
