Intracerebral parenchymal haemorrhage

Case contributed by Radswiki

CT brain

Very large intracerebral haemorrhage on the left extends to involve the ventricles. It exerts marked mass effect.

Case Discussion

Large intracerebral haemorrhage most likely represents a lobar haemorrhage (rather than a basal ganglia haemorrhage) despite extension into the ventricles, which is more common in the latter.
