Presentation

Headache, blurring of vision.

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

A well defined T1 isointense and central T2 hypointense signal round lesion in the ventral pons with high amount of surrounding edema. Edema is seen extending along left cerebral and middle cerebellar peduncle.

Multivoxel spectroscopy showed lipid-lactate metabolite peaking and decreased NAA and choline peaks.

No evidence of diffusion restriction.
