Intraductal growing–type cholangiocarcinoma

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Progressive jaundice.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

MR images demonstrating a 17*23 mm mildly hypointense polypoid intraluminal mass relative to the liver parenchyma within the common bile duct at the level of the cystic duct confluence with the common hepatic duct. Post-contrast coronal MR images demonstrating delayed enhancement of the mass.

The lesion does not involve the confluence of the right and left intrahepatic biliary ducts.

Hepatic artery and portal vein are intact.

No significant lymphadenopathy at the porta hepatic region also is noted.
