A well circumscribed mass is present in the upper outer quadrant of the left breast, situated just superficial to the breast cone.

Previous Mammo 2 yr prior

mammography

The circumscribed mass in the left upper outer quadrant was present previously, but has increased in size.  The interval change, rather than the appearance, prompts further workup.

ultrasound

Ultrasound demonstrates a solid, vascular mass within a cystic space, with clearly visualized intraductal extension. Appearance in keeping with a papillary lesion.

The lesion underwent core biopsy, followed by excisional biopsy. Histopathology confirmed benign intraductal papilloma.

Case Discussion

Intraductal papilloma of the breast, in this case nicely outlined by the associated cyst.
