There is indrawing of the left nipple with an elongated density projecting posteriorly into the left breast. There is no associated calcification or discrete mass.
The right breast mammogram (not shown) was normal.
From the case:
Intraductal papilloma

Dilatation of a single retroareolar duct extending from the left nipple. It is filled with homogeneous material and has internal vascularity.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound-guided biopsy was performed, as well as subsequent excision showing an intraductal papilloma without atypia. Clinically, the inverted nipple was readily everted, thought likely periductal inflammation.
