Low back ache for evaluation

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

  • multiple nodular intradural extramedullary lesions are seen arising lateral and inferior to the conus displacing it to the left. 
  • lesions are T1 and T2 mildly hyperintense to cord, appearing to originate from one of the nerve roots. 
  • they enhance intensely post gadolinium administration

Case Discussion

The patient was referred to another hospital for surgery. Minimally invasive neurosurgical resection was done and a histopathological diagnosis of schwannoma was confirmed.
