Intramuscular hemangioma

Right buttock swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Normal pelvic radiograph.


Intramuscular lesion in the right gluteus maximus muscle which appears to be composed of many channels. The lesion is hypointense on T1WI and hypointense on T2WI and, with moderate post-contrast enhancement.

Incidental lipoma deep to the left gluteus maximus.
