A well-defined oblong-shaped lesion of fat signal is seen within the teres major muscle measures 35x41 mm. It has high signal on T1 and T2 and suppressed on fat sat images.

Case Discussion

Lipomas are common benign mesenchymal neoplasms composed of adipocytes that originate within the subcutaneous tissues. These tumors can arise from either within the muscle (intramuscular) or between the muscles (inter-muscular).
