Incidental note of absence of the normal left lens, i.e. aphakia. Linear hypointense structure has replaced the normal left lens consistent with an intraocular lens implant. These implants are inserted post-extraction of a cataract. Unremarkable hypointense elliptical lens of the right eye.
Case Discussion
Noting an intraocular lens implant on CT/MRI is an extremely common incidental finding. On MRI the implants are low signal on both T1 and T2-weighted images.
