On T2W images, intraocular lens implant is seen as a thin linear hypointense structure in the right ocular globe.
On T1W images, intraocular lens implant is seen as a thin linear hyperintense (compared to vitreous humor) structure in the right ocular globe.
Note the normal oval shaped native lens in the left ocular globe.
Case Discussion
Intraocular lens implants are smaller and thinner compared to the native lenses.
T2W imaging is the best MRI sequence for lens assessment.
