A narrow transitional zone sclerotic margin lytic bone lesion with central ossification and radiating bony septa from this central focus to the periphery of the lesion is located within the middle to the anterior segment of the calcaneus. The density of the lesion is up to -37HU in non-ossified parts. No obvious associated soft tissue mass.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates a calcaneus lipoma with the classical feature of intraosseous lipoma called cockade sign which is central ossification/calcification of the lesion.
