Right more than left maxillary sinus opacification with small regions of intrasinus calcification peripherally. Nasal cavity is clear.
Case Discussion
Intrasinus calcification occurs in the setting of chronic sinusitis. It is often thought of in the context of fungal sinusitis (where the calcification appears centrally in the sinuses). In this case, the calcifications are peripheral and had been unchanged from a prior CT a few years prior, which goes against fungal sinusitis.
