Right lower chest well-defined opacity with a smooth outline and visible lung vascularity through it.
Differential diagnosis includes diaphragmatic hernia, pericardial cyst, diaphragmatic eventration and extrapulmonary mass lesion.



CT revealed herniation of the right kidney, right adrenal gland and part of right lobe of the liver through a posteromedial defect of right hemidiaphragm (Bochdalek hernia). The right renal pedicle/vessels arise from their normal anatomical level.
Normal both lungs and mediastinum.
Case Discussion
Intrathoracic kidney is a rare form of ectopic kidney and a generally asymptomatic condition. The right kidney herniated through a posteromedial defect of the right hemidiaphragm (Bochdalek hernia, adult presentation).
