Presentation
This patient underwent splenectomy for a hematologic condition. Follow-up Tc 99m sulfur colloid scintigraphy.

Scintigraphy shows a radiocolloid uptake near the lingula and the left pulmonary hilum, compatible with intrathoracic ectopic splenic tissue.
CT-scan shows no obvious anomaly at the site of radio-colloid uptake.
Case Discussion
Intrathoracic splenosis is a rare condition that usually occurs following trauma. It usually occurs with diaphragm tears. The newly implanted splenule will become vascularized by adjacent pulmonary vessels.
