Intrauterine contraceptive devices in bicornuate uterus

CT for abdominal pain. Known bicornuate uterus.

Two separate intrauterine contraceptive devices are present, one within each uterine horn. No cause for the pain was identified on other images. 

Case Discussion

Bicornuate uterus is one of the Mullerian duct anomalies, often discovered incidentally when placement of one IUCD is followed by conception, or due to recurrent early pregnancy loss.
