24hrs onset right sided weakness

Patient Data

Age: 80
Gender: Male

Non-contrast CT: extensive acute left MCA territory infarction with left basal ganglia hemorrhagic transformation, with intraventricular extension of hemorrhage. Hyperdense left MCA sign.

CTA cerebral: thrombus left distal M1 MCA.

3D reconstructions of carotid - focal proximal left ICA 80-99% stenosis.

Case Discussion

Acute left MCA territory infarction with left basal ganglia hemorrhagic transformation, with intraventricular extension of hemorrhage.

Hyperdense left MCA sign on non-contrast CT, with thrombus confirmed on CTA.
