Case contributed by Ammar Haouimi
Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Incidental finding on brain CT (not shown) done for trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
mri

Large well-defined intraventricular mass enlarging the trigone of the left lateral ventricle with mild transependymal edema. It elicits an isosignal to the cortical grey matter on T1, T2 and FLAIR with foci of calcification on GE sequence. No restricted diffusion is seen. The postcontrast sequences show vivid homogeneous enhancement.

Depressed skull fracture of the anterior table of the frontal sinus well-demonstrated on axial sequences.

Case Discussion

MRI features of a vividly enhancing intraventricular mass centered in the trigone of the left lateral ventricle most consistent with intraventricular meningioma.

On imaging, the differential diagnosis depends on the location of the tumor and age of the patient, please refer to the article: intraventricular meningioma.
