- Large cystic lesion in the posterior body of the right lateral ventricle
- Mild dilatation of the temporal and occipital horns of the right lateral ventricle
- No contrast enhancing lesions
Findings are consistent with intraventricular simple cyst.
"Intraventricular simple cyst" describes a cystic lesion in the cranial ventricles that follows CSF on all imaging modalities and phases/sequences. The lesion may be lined by arachnoid or ependymal cells, but this is indistinguishable on imaging. Patients are often asymptomatic at presentation, but hydrocephalus can occur.
