Intussusception due to small bowel lipoma

Presentation

Crampy abdominal pain for 2 hours.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Female

Dilated small bowel loop with target sign (in the center a compressed bowel loop surrounded by mesenteric fat, which is again surrounded by the bowel wall of the other loop) hinting at small bowel intussusception. Two fatty lesions within the small bowel as a probable lead point.

Intussusception due to small bowel lipoma was surgically proved.
