Transverse and longitudinal US through the intussusception shows a cylindrical mass consisting of an
outer hypoechoic ring surrounding a loop of bowel, mesenteric lymph nodes, and intervening echogenic fat. Colour Doppler imaging reveals evidence of flow within the thickened intussusceptum.
The longitudinal views give the appearance of a pseudokidney,
Intussusception in a 9 month old. Hydrostatic reduction with normal saline was performed and intussusception reduced successfully.
