Presentation
The patient presented with a lump in the breast.
Patient Data
There is an irregular mildly hyperdense soft tissue lesion with an indistinct inferior margin of approximate size 4.5 x 3.4 cm in the upper and outer quadrant of right breast. The lesion infiltrates into the overlying skin resulting in thickening of skin and areola with partially retracted nipple. No obvious calcifications are seen. No significant lymphadenopathy.
Findings are suggestive of malignant breast mass (BI-RADS 5).
The left breast appears normal.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent ultrasound guided biopsy of the lesion which revealed invasive ductal carcinoma.
