There is a chronic infarct in the left middle cerebral artery territory, without haemorrhagic transformation.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates typical CT appearances of chronic ischaemic stroke with a region of low attenuation in a vascular (middle cerebral artery) distribution. There is associated volume loss with lateral ventricle retraction.
