Presentation

Acute pain left buttock onset six weeks ago. Hamstring avulsion?

Patient Data

Age: 25
Gender: Female
MRI

High T2 STIR signal intensity at the left quadratus femoris muscle bordering the external obturator muscle. To a lesser extent this is also evident on the right side.

No hamstring injury present.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with ischiofemoral impingement.
