Ischiogluteal bursitis

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Left hip pain; past history of surgery.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
mri

Edema, mild fluid is seen between left ischial tuberosity and gluteus maximus
muscle, in close relation to left hamstring tendons. No evidence of bone marrow
edema is seen.

Nail fixation is seen involving head and neck of left femur, causing metallic
artifacts and obscuring local anatomical details.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with ischiogluteal bursitis. This is the likely cause of present left hip pain.
