Punched in the abdomen by a classmate. Incidental finding.

Patient Data

Age: 7.9 years
Gender: Female

Small amount of free pelvic fluid.

Incidentally discovered lucencies traversing the slightly widened right ischiopubic synchondrosis.

Case Discussion

Ischiopubic synchondrosis asymmetry discovered incidentally on CT abdomen-pelvis.

This is a common developmental variant and should not warrant further investigation, especially if the child is asymptomatic.
