Edematous ACL. The anteromedial bundle appears continuous but is likely partially rupture, whereas the posterolateral bundle cannot be identified reliably along its entire course, suggesting complete rupture. Minimal lateral femoral condyle bone marrow edema.

Preserved menisci, PCL, collateral ligaments and cartilage.

Case Discussion

Surprisingly isolated injury to the ACL with probably only one of the two consituent bundles being completely ruptured.

Often an ACL injury mechanism is associated with meniscal and collateral ligamentous injuries.
