Avulsion fracture of the left greater trochanter with no extension of fracture line towards lesser trochanter. No associated femoral neck fracture.
Punctate calcification of the left hip joint.

CT features of avulsion fracture of an isolated greater trochanteric avulsion fracture.
In this case, the displacement of the bony fragment was less than 1 cm which is usually treated without surgical intervention, the patient must not bear weight on the affected leg for up to a month.
