Case Discussion

A lady presented with missing IUD string. She had no pain in the abdomen or pelvis. Ultrasound is the first modality to locate IUD in the uterus or in the adnexa. The case shows missing IUD in the left adnexa which was detected due to posterior acoustic shadowing.

Laparoscopy revealed IUD in the left fallopian tube. The IUD was removed.
