Presentation
Left lower abdominal pain for two days.
Patient Data
There are multiple diverticula of the jejunal and ileal loops of small bowel, without evidence for small bowel diverticulitis.
There is evidence for proctitis and pancolitis. Extensive colonic diverticula with inflammatory changes about the entire descending colon, concerning for concomitant colonic diverticulitis.
Atrophic pancreas with abnormal ductal dilatation at the level of the pediatric head.
Distended slightly thickened gallbladder with gallstone. Cannot exclude acute cholecystitis. Mild intrahepatic biliary ductal dilatation.
Small perihepatic ascites.
Small right pleural effusion/passive atelectasis.
Foley catheter in place. Right hip prosthesis.
Multiple Jejunoileal diverticula (yellow arrows).
Case Discussion
Patient found to have infectious proctitis and pancolitis, likely with concomitant descending colonic diverticulitis. Incidentally noted is extensive jejunoileal diverticula.
