Presentation

Right middle finger distal phalangeal swelling

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Well defined soft tissue mass showing foci of calcfications and adjacent bony remodeling, it erodes and induces sclerosis in the contiguous cortical bone producing the characterstic "Pop corn" apperance.

mri

Fairly defined soft tissue mass lesion, clearly demarcated from the medullary cavity by rim of cortical bone. It elicits low signal at T1, high signal at T2 WI and being of bright signal at STIR WI showing non homogenous post contrast enhancment.

Ill defined marrow edema signal of the distal phalanx.
