Recurrent chest infection and chronic sinusitis.
Patient Data
The cardiac apex and gastric bubble on the right side, with multiple bilateral rounded variable sided lucencies, more marked in the lower zones, representing bronchiectasis.
The paranasal sinuses are opacified.
Small and underdeveloped sinuses, which are opacified reflecting chronic sinus disease.
Bilateral extensive bronchial dilatation, having thick walls, some of them are filled with mucus, mostly seen in the lower lobes, right middle lobe and lingula of the left upper lobe. Right lower lobe consolidation is seen. Tree-in-bud pattern is seen on both sides.
Case Discussion
CT images show paranasal sinuses disease, situs invesus, and extensive bronchiectasis. Features are consistent with Kartagener syndrome.
