Kienböck disease

Presentation

A 40 year old male with wrist pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40
Gender: Male
mri

The lunate bone is collapsed and displays low signal intensity in all sequences, but with some marrow edema and degenerative cystic change.

Mild joint effusion is seen.

There are also other scattered ares of subchondral bone marrow edematous change within the carpal bones.

There is Intact traingular fibrocartilage.
