Klippel-Feil syndrome

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Post road accident presented to emergency department with neck pain which was long standing, but got significantly worse post trauma. On examination the patient had a short neck. No prior medical or surgical history.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

A fracture is difficult to be exclude due to underlying long standing changes.

CT confirming finding from radiographs.

Multilevel vertebral bodies and posterior elements fusion involving cervical spine. 

No fracture.

Case Discussion

The case demonstrates case of Klippel Feil syndrome in 40 years old patient that was asymptomatic until trauma involving cervical spine.
