Presentation

Joint swelling for the last 7-8 years.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

x-ray

Soft tissue swelling of the knee with Intraarticular lucency, suggestive of intra-articular lipoma.

ultrasound

Suprapatellar pouch ultrasound revealed homogeneous hyperechoic soft tissue structure deep to quadriceps tendon in keeping with an intra-articular lesion of fat nature.

mri

A large intra-articular soft tissue lesion with homogeneous high signal on T1 and T2 and complete suppression on STIR, suggestive of intra-articular lipoma.

Case Discussion

Operated - Intra-articular lipoma. NOT lipoma arborescens.

Nothing great to diagnose but existence of this seems to be rare as reports say.
